Sometimes your mother doesn’t think.
On the day we had your photo taken at the mall
for our yearly Christmas card, I decided to pick
up a barrette to match the beautiful dress we bought
at Costco. I was admiring the bauble at one of the
mall kiosks and the saleswoman offered to put it
in your hair. I accepted, knowing I would buy the barrette.
However, I failed to look at the price. When she rang
the sale up at $35, I almost died. We had only
paid $18 for the dress and here I blow the
budget on a barrette!!
