Each Christmas season, one of the highlights for our family is partaking of what is affectionately known as "snick-snacks" - so named by my paternal grandmother, "Gramma Fran."

One of the treats that has been a part of our Christmas fare since I was a little girl, is "Cathedral Cookies." I have no idea where the recipe came from - some ladies' magazine, perhaps - but I make it every year, as did my mother and grandmother before me.

So, here is the recipe that some of you have asked for. I enjoyed making this page and plan to make a similar LO for each of the treats that make our family celebrations so memorable...and TASTY :D !

One more thing -- these are called "Cathedral Cookies" because they (supposedly) resemble the stained glass windows one may find in a Cathedral. Clever, eh?!
