First of all, you are never a bother. :) This is a great way for us to share lo's that we don't want critiqued, though. Now on to the lo... ;) What a nice way to honor your husband's hard work. This is beautiful! He did a great job. TFS!
I love the mantle your hubby built!! This is such a nice lo, and I really like the pp you used. I also like how you cut the diamond design out of the pp and placed that in the spaces for the title and journaling blocks. The flowers and paper strips look great too! Incredible job!!
My dh's hobby is woodworking projects. In the first smaller pic is our old walnut mantle he had made from a walnut log he had found 10 yrs ago. Well this year we decided to make a new mantle and more fancy. My dh's came across this log that some loggers had left and decided to make use of it. He brought it home and went to working on what you see here as the finished project, that is absolutely gorgeous. I'm very proud of this and we will cherish it for the rest of our lives.
My journaling is short and sweet on the LO's upper righthand corner. We replace the old with the new this past November 2005. My scanner cut off the bottom and right side.
The idea for this LO came from Scrapbooks etc. Sept/Oct 2005 edition. Thanks for looking and have a beautiful day!! ~*Dawn*~
