SHCG: How cool to commemorate your annual visit??!?!?!?!?! This is fabulous. My only suggestion would be to put the names uniformly in a corner of the photo. This is just great!
SHCG: What fun to see stuffed animals on a tree. My only suggestion would be to make the center image an oval to soften the mood. Or a tree shape would actually be cool. next time...
SHCG: Nice LO! I like how you layered the photos (which are great, BTW). I would suggest adding some emphis to the top photo to draw it out from the bottom ones. Maybe a thicker border or a shadow?
SHCG: I love how you have the main pic surrounded by the smaller pics, my only sugestion would be to lighten the smaller pics just a bit to show more detail.
SHCG - Gorgeous LO, Marsha! Love the symmetrical placement, rich holiday colors, photos & fonts; the names in green contrast lovely on the photo backgrounds. Beautiful group pic in the center, the red mattes are a nice accent. I'm glad there will be journaling on the next page & would love to see it, as I now want to know more about the ornaments w/ the names (did everyone pick their favorites that day?) as well as hear more about how this has been a tradition since you were 5, as you mentioned in the LO thread. Looks like an awesome, magical holiday time w/ family & this is an absolutely beautiful page capturing it!
SHCG: I like how your focal photo is surrounded by each named ornamental photo. This page conveys such a warm, cozy Christmas feeling with those deep red and green tones. I probably would have gone with gold instead of the lime green flourishes, and maybe added a little more gold to that elegant title. I like the journaling font at the bottom, but I can see a smaller scripted font for the names. Janet's suggestion gave me an idea--one photo corner for each photo so that the entire group is unified by four photo corners. Also, as long as the page doesn't appear crowded or overembellished, a bell might also look cute on each end of the title or on each end of the journaling, but not on both. I'm looking forward to the journaling on the other pages. So nice to see Macy's in its holiday glory, especially given the tough economic decisions they're having to make lately.
shcg: I can't wait to see the journaling that does go with this. I love how you designed this with the individual ornaments in the corners and a culminating big tree/family shot in the middle to bring it all together. Random: the "H" in "The" -- is it a different font -- because it kind of stands out how it is. Beautiful job!
