This is cool. Would you believe that I kept many of my oldest DD's baby dresses with this same purpose in mind? Not much has been done with the pieces but I do have several pieces sewn. Someday I hope to fool around more with it! =}

Jan 05 - "Grampa Quilts"

Last year, when going through my late father's condo, my DD Jen and I decided to gather up all his favorite shirts and handkerchiefs to make in a quilt for each of us. We took them to Jen's friend, Cassie, who made us these treasured quilted wall hangings. There is also some fabric from one of my late mother's blouses. My quilt is on the left; Jen's on the right.

Seeing these pieces of my Dad brings back so many memories - this is something I will always treasure.
