You did an AWESOME job with this layout. Love the mixture of papers and embellishments and all the metal! You rocked this challenge. And how cute that you included the tablature! Youre so clever.
I love all the soft greyish blues in this lo and those splashes of orange and greens.. lovely. Love all the things you incorporated in this lo too. And this is the stuff I am asking if you make up!?! LOL... I mean how sweet is that, does he wamt my number so he can serenade me while I cook? That would be great!! you lucky girl you! I also love the brads and what you did there and that song bird is just perfect! LOVE IT!
Fantastic job on the challenge! I love how you incorporated memorabilia like the uke string and music... and made it all work so ... well... musically together! LOL Great work!!
WOW AMI! This is amazing! I was having a hard time 'seeing' this challenge in my head. But seeign yours has helped a ton. Using bits of his fave songs to play is such a great idea and the ukele string couldn't be more perfect. Great job girlie!
I just love your clever journaling--such a sweet story. I love the way you managed to make a pretty page still manly/masculine, the wire studs and torn paper add to give it just the right effect. I like that idea of the studs mimicing music notes.
This LO is of my husband, Brian, playing ukulele for me while I was cooking supper. He does that often and I love it! It's so sweet and I love to hear him play.
This LO is for The Eiffel Tower Group's January Technique Challenge. We had to create a LO using patterned paper to cut out all our embellishments, and the only other embellishments allowed were metal.
Everything here is patterned paper, with the exception of the paper that the song lyrics and tablature are printed on. I wanted to include the tablature for the songs he likes to play a lot: Vincent And Theo by Jacob Borshard and The Penalty by Beirut.
I started with the gray pp from the Ambrosia pack, then added some pieces of pp from Periphery. I cut little pieces from some Sassafras Lass paper, and the grid pp is Scenic Route.
For my metal embellishments, I used: metal brads (I placed them on the grid pp to mimic the tablature), metal staples, a metal clip, some metal buttons, and an actual metal ukulele string that Brian gave me. It's wrapped around some brads and kind of twisted along the bottom under the picture and there are also some pieces of it sticking out of the flowers in the bottom right corner. I also used some metallic embossed stickers.
