I actually have the same Santa from my childhood that I put out every year. Mine is missing his tree as well. I can't wait to scraplift this wonderful lo!
beautiful page, what a lot of hard work you put into it - but for something as special as your Santa, well worth it! I love seeing your pages about things from your past - you have inspired me more than you know!
KATHY, THIS IS SO CUTE!!!! LUV THAT SANTA I SEE WHY HE IS SO SPECIAL, I LUV THE OLD CHRISTMAS STUFF. THE STAR U USED ON THIS IS SO NEAT!!! AWESOME LO, A FAV.... AND THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!
Hidden Journaling (under snowflake card): My mom bought this hard plastic Santa for my first Christmas in 1952. It was made by the Royal Electric Company. The Santa used to light up, using one of the old large Christmas bulbs inserted in the back. It was pretty hot when lit. The smaller photo shows what Santa looked like when he was new and still had his Christmas tree. I found this photo on the internet. At this writing in January 2009, Santa is 57 years old. Even though he is not in very good condition, with his paint chipping and missing Christmas tree, I love him and he has a place of honor in my house every Christmas.
This is a scraplift of 2Dogs "Could She Really Be 13". This lo was so much fun. I wanted it to be special because I love, love my old Santa. Toni really knows how to make scrapbooking fun! Thank you, Toni, for your inspiration!!!
