I'm not sure how we all missed the sign that said that this entrance was also the exit for the Kaumana Cave. After a two mile hike through the cave, we came out at what we thought was the end of the cave...which turned out to be a random hole in the ground, in the middle of the Hawaiian forest! After a long trek through the thick brush, we finally found homes and a paved road. As were walking we met a local who told us we were far, far away from the cave and our vehicles...an hour and a half walk! She also told us that we weren't the first tourists to pop out of the woods in this part of town!
