SeaWorld was definitely on our list of places to go during our vacation. We spent one jam-packed day enjoying the dolphins, manatees, seals, penguins and a variety of arctic animals, along with sharks, rays, and the star of SeaWorld, the unforgettable Shamu. Plus, we even managed to fit in a few rides for the kids!

First up was the Blue Horizons Dolphin Show. It was the most amazing show! While featuring dolphins, it also displayed acrobatics and soaring birds together in a theatrical performance that actually brought tears to my eyes for how incredibly beautiful and amazing it was. We were all utterly spell-bound by it. Probably my favorite show out of all the theme parks we visited.

For lunch, we dined at the Sharks Underwater Grill. This was a special treat for Trent with his love and knowledge of sharks. Even though there were sharks swimming along the length of the restaurant, it was a great way to relax and enjoy a break and a meal. And they had the best blue-raspberry lemonade I have ever had!

After lunch, we had lots of laughs! The Clyde & Seamore sea lion show, also featuring a naughty otter and a huge walrus aboard a pirate ship of high-jinks, was thoroughly entertaining. It was Trent and Addy’s favorite show at SeaWorld. We also got a kick out of the mime that entertained the crowd before the show had started.

The Believe show was all about SeaWorld’s big star, Shamu. The show started off great, but then one of the baby whales ended up getting stuck up on the show platform and it took over 20 minutes for mama whale to teach baby how to get itself back in the water. While it was interesting to watch, the rest of the animals and Shamu were off their game by then and they didn’t really complete the show as intended. Oh well, just means we will have to make a return trip to SeaWorld!
