this is a lift of finaledition's layout "the patch." I've had the layout and title done for days but just wasn't sure what I wanted to journal about these pics. Well, I have been feeling very reflective today and the title seemed to take on a whole new meaning and I used these pics to tell a story. Here it is:

Since Spanish is an elective and only required of students wanting to enter college I have been blessed to teach and mold some of the best and brightest students in our school. This year has definitely been a struggle though. I have seen a lack of respect and responsibility that I have not had to deal with before. The students are unmotivated and lack drive. They expect everything to be easy in life and rather than rise to the occasion they give up. It saddens me. This fall admist the chaos of my day I couldn’t help but stop and admire this view from my window. It gave me peace and reminded me that seasons change and as they do so does the view. Looking out this same window today the view is dismal. The sky is gray and the trees are bare. But I look at these pictures and am hopeful. I know that Spring is around the corner. The trees will be budding new leaves soon. The view will once again be beautiful! Just like the changing seasons bring a change of color to the trees I know that a change of administration will hopefully bring a change to our school culture and climate. I have hope that even though things are rough now we have to go through this “ugly” phase in order to grow! This too shall pass! 2008-2009
