I only have four pictures of my mother as a child. I asked her to tell me the story of those photos and the one she told was worth of a layout. By day she would sit on the rocks by her house and watch people being baptized in the waters. By night, she would sit on the same rocks and watch river boats go by filled with people fighting, carousing, drinking, and cursing. It was such a contrast of "saints and sinners" for this little girl just trying to learn about the world. The vellum quotes lift up to reveal the mosaic of the riverboat at the top and the baptisms on the bottom. A picture of the riverbank and rocks is in the middle, with the story written out under both title pieces in the upper left and lower right hand corners.
