WOWZERS!!! What a great story of how the two of you met! I love the bright colours with the distressed look! It's so unique, but works so well! Into my favs!!
super cool and congratulations on your celebration. Love the lo and papers. I think the tissue may be mulberry paper. Love the texture and I like how you've added it to your lo.
Wow, I love all the distressing, and the "my thoughts" title. Congrats on 1 year, My hubby and I also met at a new years eve bash back in 1988/89 when we were left high and dry, there is something good there ...
Oh girl, I love this. You two are a beautiful couple and I really love the "slide" pictures showing some of the highlights of your year together. I wish you many many more great years together:)
Beautiful page, Lauren!! I just love that line of DD's paper (it's one of my faves)- can't believe you got it so cheap!! Great design! Love all the flowers and flourishes! Your distressed circles look great!!
This LO highlights our first year dating, which was calendar year 2008!
Journaling reads: "My Thoughts: On December 31, 2007, I met Justin by, what seems, a fluke! Maybe not! Now in 2009, I look back at 2008 and realize that we were indeed destined to meet! From Memphis to baseball to riding record-breaking roller coasters, our year of 2008 was great! And no, our meeting was anything but a fluke!!!"
(Justin and I met randomly at a bar after both of our previous plans for celebrating New Year's actually fell through at the last minute.)
These papers were SO fun! These are Daisy D's 'Autumn Collection' that included 18 papers and 2 pages of the little expressions ('Our Memories,' etc.) I found it a few months ago at Hobby Lobby on the clearance rack for $4!
I chalked almost everything, and all the leaves and swirls I cut from other papers in the kit. The flowers are regular silk flowers. The buttons are from my button collection I've inherited from my great grandma. And the fabric stuff is...? I have no clue. I found it in a bag full of tissue paper when I was wrapping presents this past Christmas. It's kind of like tissue paper, but it's an actual fabric - it doesn't feel like paper. Whatever it is, it was fun to work with!
