shcg: love this too! i love the colors and the framing. i think the frame around the pic could be a little smaller but i love the shape. the butterflys are great! wonderful!
SHCG: Your treatment of the photo is definitely not my style, but I think it works with the pp you are using. Has a nice old-fashioned feel. I would suggest making a thin mat for the photo in the same cs used on the background to lift it off the pp a little. Overall, nice job!
SHCG: I adore the sweetness and light that you have created here. I have to disagree with my esteemed group members. I adore the way that you have the photo framed. It creates such a feeling of safety and security to me. It is very reminiscent of a cradle and when paired with the sweet little cuddling that they have going on.....I adore it! The ribbon that you used is so rad, I though it was a pre-made frame. Fabulous! All of it!
SHCG: I love that you used the pp for the butterflies, and ribbon for the frame. That photo mat brings such interest to the page, too. The photo is so sweet and could use more attention, which is why I don't think the smaller oval shape and tilted placement is such a good idea. I'd go with a rounded rectangle instead that goes over the edges of that decorative mat. I like the idea of making the butterflies more dimensional. Finally, I think the bg pp needs a lot of distressing, play it down to keep our focus on the photo.
SHCG - Your selections for the photo shape & matte make for some unexpected visual interest, cool! LOVE this beautiful pp & the butterfly punches. Chris' suggestion of having some lifted butterfly wings is great. Awesome w/ the ribbon frame! I also really like the title/journaling shape, the handwriting/doodling really puts forth a charming sincerity. I do wonder what this would look like w/ a larger photo because the pic's a little small in the midst of all these patterns, but I hesitate to even say that because this is so marvelous already as is.
SHCG: Love the butterflies! I'd punch some more an layer them above the ones already there, or lift the wings of some on the page already for dimension. Great use of the ribbon for framing.
