First of all, I will apologize for the bad shadowing on the top of the LO. I took this outside into the morning sunshine. Unfortunately, It is -3 degrees out and all the photos I took have this shadowing. I just don't feel like spending any more time out there trying to get a better shot. Sorry for that.

I painted the very back sheet of this... just around the border of it. I got an interesting color, but a weird warping effect. I cut the heart, behind the photo, using a die cut (in the wrong color) as a template. I cut the circle shapes using my trusty CM circle cutter - very slick. I added the Pink Stickles to the Fusion ribbon and let it dry and also to the heart outline (although you probably can't see either of those very well).

The really dark pink flowers look darker on this image and the turquoise has come out more muted than IRL. Don't know why. I think the rest of the colors are pretty accurate.

Journaling (with tag under circle): Blossom was this cat's name when we acquired her from the shelter. Although I didn't hate it... since I thought it kind of nicely described her bright and pretty appearance... especially her beautiful eyes, I still wanted to change it to something we personally chose. But... my dh wouldn't agree to any of my suggestions and flatly refused to try to come up with any of his own.
So she kept it.
Litlle did we know how appropriate it would prove to be. In June of 2008, Hy-Vee, our neighborhood grocery store, was having its annual rose sale. Each rose was only 50 cents. I bought 3 thinking how lovely they would look on my table at home. I placed them, in my vase and then on the floor so that the cats could better admire them. I took this photo because I was impressed by how much she seemed to be enjoying them. Unfortunately, she was actually wanting to enjoy them a little too much. Apparently to her, they looked absolutely delicious. She tried to eat them on the floor, and she tried to eat them on the table. And so, I took them and hid them in my bedroom. Apparently, I didn't shut the door well enough though. Because within moments, she did manage to eat them there. I caught her running down the hall with a petal in her mouth, and what I swear was smile on her face. The flowers were left in a very sad condition.
But I did come to two conclusions that day. First, Blossom was indeed a very apt name for her. And second, that she is the only Blossom I will be able to have in my home for some time now.

And in case anyone was wondering... yes, she did try to eat the paper flowers too.
