This was for a Scraptathlon challenge -
A LO portraying CHANGE, with a positive attitude, using the color purple, mentioning Barack Obama

While I plan on completing a LO commemorating our 44th president, I really didn't want to have it be purple, so I went a different route with this one!

This year is 10 years DH and I have been together - the first picture was taken the night we met (1999), the second was taken a few months ago.
Journaling in 2 columns -
Then and Now
Then - you lived in SCS, I lived in GR
Now - We happily reside together in Roseville

Then - You were working an internship at Rinke Pontiac; I was a student at GVSU and had no job (and no income!)
Now: You are a "Service Information Developer"; I am a teacher

Then: We e-mailed daily and talked on the phone an hour each night
Now: We see each other daily and talk regularly (but I miss those hourlong chats about nothing!)

Then: Gas cost $1.29/gallon
Now: Gas costs $1.89/gallon (recently down from $3.50+/gallon

Then: Clinton was president
Now: Barack Obama brings much hope as our new president

The purple piasley pp is some old chatterbox pp I had. The green is Little Yellow Bicycle Delightful. I doodled in purple and white over the doodles and bent metal words (bliss, cherish, love, forever) to fit the doodles :) The butterfly was cut on the Cricut. Title was doodlebug stickers.
