I guess to match up with all my other classes, I only spent one year in lower level jazz classes. By my second year in jazz, I was dancing with the Cathettes II. The downside, I was the smallest in the class and I had classes with this one girl I went to school with. She wasn't exactly nice to me in school and being in the same jazz class with her didn't help the situation. Put it this way, stories about me in jazz class always managed to filter their way into our grade school.

This dance was called "One Hundred Percent" after the name of the song we danced to. The bad thing wasn't those shorts (the bad shorts would come later) but the shirt. See, the shirt had NO elsatic in it so is was nearly impossible to get on no matter how...little...you were. I remember it taking both my mom and I to get me into and out of the stupid shirt. Those fringes did little to help the situation either since they'd get caught in the shirt and have to be tugged back into place. By the way, I do have a headband on (very 1980s LOL) but you can't really see it under my bangs. This was also the first time I got to wear jazz boots...which I prefered to having to dance in heels.
