this is one of my favorites. I love the circles- what a fun way to not only capture the movement of the kite, but to enhance what a normally teeny and almost unusable pictures. Genius!! Kite lovers everywhere rejoice!
This is for challenge #5 in Scraptathlon... Okay ladies -
This week we have a fun challenge - I was inspired by the lyrics of Thomas Dolby's song "She Blinded Me With Science" -- in particular, the line about "Poetry in Motion", so, our challenge this week is to use two important things in our LO:
1. Poetry. Specifically a haiku. You know, the 5-7-5, traditional haiku? (Google it if you're not sure what I mean). You must use a haiku, and ONLY a haiku as your journaling. Your title may be a few words, but the only other words must be in haiku format. - and ONLY ONE HAIKU per LO.
2. Motion. - I'll leave this up to you - a picture of something moving, or a part of your layout that moves... you pick.
Other than that. no restrictions. ***************************************** Digital layout using Adobe Photoshop Elements. Paper and ribbon are freebies from ScrapGirls.com. I don't remember the fonts that I used for the title, date, and journaling...but I can look them up if someone wants to know. I also made a mini challenge just for myself to scrap in a different size than I normally do (8.5x11) and to use flowered paper (since I'm usually scrapping boy pages and don't have a lot of chances to use flowers). These pictures that I took are of my son flying his kite at Illinois State Beach/Lake Michigan last fall. I wrote the haiku myself. Thanks for looking!
