This is Buster, my first big dog. I found him in the ditch in front of our house, when we lived in the country.
(why people dump dogs in the country baffles me, most get killed)
But there he was, a little fur ball, and I picked him up, and he cried in my arms and my heart melted.
And I uttered those famous last words to my husband “He's not going to get very big”. Oops!
Buster was bursting with personality, and we all loved him!

The hidden tag has additional pictures of Buster when he had some serious surgery (an amputation) and says "Never again" and "I'm so sorry".
Buster got cancer and we were told he would be with us longer if we did the surgery. It was a HORRIBLE surgery and to top it off, he only lived 6 months extra. I would never have had him suffer even a minute longer for just a few months.
But THIS dog was special. He truly touched my heart. My eyes well up with tears when I think of him, even though it has been several years now. Later on I will tuck ‘his story' under the tag.

Oh - the little black ribbon means he's deceased. (I don't know why I do that, but I often (not always) do it on layouts with someone deceased.)
