gorgeous dog!! looks like a sweetie! such a sad story though, but nice of you to take him in and make him part of the family! your lo looks great by the way. i love the saying on the bottom.
What an incredibly sweet and beautiful lo! I love the white around the pic and the hidden journaling. I really like the fibers on the tag and the way you did the title.
This is simply breathtaking! What a beautiful story - I'm so glad you shared it. I like the idea of the little black ribbon, its an understated element.
Sniff, sniff! Aside from us both being grandmas...we share a love of animals ~ This is such a wonderful tribute to Buster! Great photo and wonderful journaling! HUGS to you, my friend!!!
Well now I can't see the screen anymore..........now I've got these tears cleared away, love this lo. It's so sweet and so heartfelt, and has your beautiful touch to it! TFS...........it's just beautiful Sue!
Oh My......I know how you feel.. my last dog was also an abandoned/abused Terrier.....I am so glald your Buster found a loving Home to go to ..... Such a special LO!!
Your so awesome to give him a home, I see it all the time, people dropping there dogs and cats off in ditches..This is a beautiful lo..love the title and your colors, what a great looking friend you have there!!!
Aww, Sue you just always have me in tears when I read about you and your dogs.....I'm finding myself more and more tearful about these things as my own pup is getting older (she just turned 12!)....my DH and I went to see Marley & Me at the movies and I bawled my eyes out at the end! What is it about dogs that touch us so deeply huh?....lovely, lovely page!
Simply adorable page!! Love the "brushed" effect around the photo. What a super sweet face! I understand your loss of a wonderful companion...I lost mine in 07 and am still heartbroken. Hugs!!!
So beautiful! I have been afraid of not being able to create a page that would be good enough to serve as a tribute to my beloved lost pets. This is just the kind of inspiration I have been looking for. Thank you for sharing. Buster was lucky to have known such love.
so beautiful, and heat warming, we lost our one right after christmas to cancer.too, and it hurts and we miss sabbie vry much as i know you miss buster! hugs.
What a great layout, both the design and the sentiment. You have brought tears to my eyes too. Animals are such wonderfully created gifts for us to enjoy!
Ohhh, my. I am sorry you lost your Buster. I have that same feeling about a pooch... it is really hard. They give that unconditional love! thank goodness you rescued him & gave him a good life! tfs :)
Oh Sue what a great way to remember your dog. You can see in his eyes just how special he must of been...You gave him the love he deserved!! He looks so sweet!!
What a great tribute. I had a dog named Buster when I was young. He was a rescued police dog who had worked to his prime and was going to be put down. This lo brought back so many memories of him (mainly because of the name). TFS!!
Oh, he looks like such a sweet baby. It's hard to know what to do in times like those with our pets, especially when we love them so. I had a Great Dane many, many years ago, and when I think of his story, I still cry too.
This is Buster, my first big dog. I found him in the ditch in front of our house, when we lived in the country. (why people dump dogs in the country baffles me, most get killed) But there he was, a little fur ball, and I picked him up, and he cried in my arms and my heart melted. And I uttered those famous last words to my husband “He's not going to get very big”. Oops! Buster was bursting with personality, and we all loved him!
The hidden tag has additional pictures of Buster when he had some serious surgery (an amputation) and says "Never again" and "I'm so sorry". Buster got cancer and we were told he would be with us longer if we did the surgery. It was a HORRIBLE surgery and to top it off, he only lived 6 months extra. I would never have had him suffer even a minute longer for just a few months. But THIS dog was special. He truly touched my heart. My eyes well up with tears when I think of him, even though it has been several years now. Later on I will tuck ‘his story' under the tag.
Oh - the little black ribbon means he's deceased. (I don't know why I do that, but I often (not always) do it on layouts with someone deceased.)
