Thanks for your ideas, Sherrie. I have a vintage hatbox that I love and have used as the inspiration in decorating my studio. So I guess that would be my color scheme. I could tone down the colors a bit to give it a more timeless feel. Great ideas, guys! Thx. Now I just have to go hunting for paper & embellies in my color scheme (soft colors with a hint of rose for a timeless feel) paint and paper my letters, add some flowers and scrunch some paper into oblivion for the leaves!!! :) I'll be sure to post a pic when I'm done. You guys totally rock!!!
I would start with your favorite colorscheme. go with wht moves you. but i would do colors that you can live with. I am a person who loves reds black and white i love the popular damask patterns that are out however i might choose a pattern that is bit more timeless that way you can use them for a while.
Omg, Erin! I love your ideas and your page, especially the tiara!!! You go, girl! Too cool! I have actually done that scrunching technique before (I used to teach classes but have forgotten most of what I used to know... goes with the hot flashes... lol). But I love the way you described it... scrunching it into oblivion... hilarious! Thanks again for the tips. Take care, sister scrapper. :)
These are awesome letters, Jen! I love altering letters (and other scrappy things) and posted a fun E for my "wall of narcissism" (as dh calls it) on my blog.

How great are your letters! i love them.
You should use some soft papers to match your room with a little big of a rose colour. Maybe paint them and add some flowers??
They look great Jen!
I use this screen-name for three reasons. First, my mom and I used to scrap together and she would always say I was scrap happy. Second, for about 10 minutes I ran a custom scrapbooking business called Scrap Happy. Thirdly, and most familiarly to you guys, I always sign out to my scrap buddies with the signature... you guessed it, Scrap happy! So when I found these wooden letters and stand, it was only fitting that I spell out my favorite moniker. But, here's the thing... I've had them for a while now and they're still naked! I always said I was waiting until I got my room organized so I could coordinate. Well... tada! I did it! So now what? lol Any suggestions on how to decorate them??? Product or idea links welcome! TFL Scrap happy! ~jen --bet you saw that coming ;)
