I did this LO for the Sassy Blinging Babes' weekly challenge. The challenge this week was black, white, and ONE other color. We could use as many shades of that color as we wanted, but no more. I printed this picture out in black-and-white. This is another one I used the Core'dinations cardstock and sanded it until the purple showed through.
This photo was also taken with my iPhone. The iPhone's camera is proving to me to be a halfway decent one, and will definitely work whenever I don't have my regular camera with me. I always have my phone, so I can always catch my kids being cute wherever we are.
This LO is 8x8 and is for Lizzie's "Book of Lizzie." I used the alcohol inks on the gemstones to make them a deeper purple. I used my Cricut and Plantin Schoolbook cartridge along with Design Studio to create the scalloped L-shaped photo border. (They were originally a pinkish purple.) "Silly" is actually on an extra-large pull-tab, and if you pull it, you will find hidden journaling, which reads:
"Oh, my sweet little Princess Elizabeth. You are one of silliest, MOST FUN little girls I have ever met. you love to spend 'girl time' with Mommy, 'going shop-it,' as you say. You have been known to say some pretty silly things, and neither your daddy nor I ever know what will come out of your mouth and when. You are Mommy's girl, and you are daddy's girl, too, and I love you. Photo Feb. 5, 2009; Journaling Feb. 10, 2009."
