For Aslan's 3rd birthday (February 11th) I took him to Duke Gardens in Durham, NC. We went for a walk down some of the trails and across the South Lawn where the pond is. There were not any geese or ducks for Aslan to chase. But there were these HUGE magnolia trees around the perimeter of the Lawn. There are benches under the trees, so I had Aslan sit on one of the benches under the tree to get some birthday portraits. I love this picture of him even though it doesn't have much of the surroundings in it because Aslan looks so happy. I hope I made this his best birthday ever!
