This is a layout from our summer vacation. The journaling reads:
For our summer vacation, Carl and I drove to Kentucky. It takes a good 14-15 hours to get there. Jess and Chris let us borrow their DVD player. So the kids were able to watch movies as seen in the picture above. We didn’t have Quisha with us. She was in New York. We did a lot of sightseeing while on vacation. Each evening we would spend at Carl’s parents house. She made us dinner each night. Carl’s sister, Karen, came down from Lexington and stayed with us a few days too. It was nice to visit with her. We visited places like Dino World and the EXTREME Play-Place. We also got to meet a friend of mine, Laurie and her son, Dominic. We met them at the Kentucky Railway Museum, and then had lunch at McDonalds. The kids went to Kentucky Down Under with Nana and had a great time, while Carl and I found an amusement park to play at. We both realized we’re not as young as we once were, but the rides were still fun. It is really enjoyable to just spend time as a family and get to play together. I look forward to more vacations as a family.
