Love

The theme for February is “Love is a VERB”. This LO is due February 28...it's a short month, so I'm giving you a couple days extra to think about it. But...the LO still has to be created after February 1st.

I've been studying a lot lately, and in my studies, I've come to realize that love is not a thing, but an action, something we choose to do. After all, God loved us actively, by sending His son to die, making a way for us to be reunited with Him again. Find some photos that show active love, and choose one of the ten verses for your LO.

John 15:13 – “Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends.”

John 13:35 – “By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”

Proverbs 3:12 – For whom the Lord loves, He reproves, even as a father, the son in whom he delights.

Romans 12:9, 13 – Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in brotherly love; give preference to one another in honor; not lagging behind in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; rejoicing in hope, persevering in tribulation, devoted to prayer, contributing to the needs of the saints, practicing hospitality.

1 Timothy 1:5 – But the goal of our instruction is love from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith.

Titus 2:3-5 – Older women likewise are to be reverent in their behavior, not malicious gossips, nor enslaved to much wine, teaching what is good, that they may encourage the young women to love their husbands, to love their children, to be sensible, pure, workers at home, kind, being subject to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be dishonored.

Galatians 5:13 – For you were called to freedom, brethren; only do not turn your freedom into an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.

Ephesians 5:1,2 – Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children; and walk in love, just as Christ also loved you, and gave Himself up for us, and offering and a sacrifice to God as a fragrant aroma.

1 John 4:7 – Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.

Jude v. 20, 21 – But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith; praying in the Holy Spirit; keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting anxiously for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to eternal life.
