They say that big changes are as simple as making small decisions. It's like a single raindrop falling out of the sky and landing in a puddle. When the raindrop hits the puddle, it makes waves that move the water around the raindrop. The decisions we make are like those raindrops, the people in our life are that puddle and the waves made by our raindrops cause those around us to take notice and even to change. I chose to walk in the San Francisco Breast Cancer 3-Day. I trained from March to September. I raised over $2,000 from more than fifty people. I recruited two friends who in turn did the same. In the end, I walked 60 miles in three days, overcoming my feet, my body and my mind all telling me to stop. The participants of this event raised over $4 million dollars for breast cancer research in just those three short days. And everyone made that one small choice to participate in this event. Amazing what a big difference one small choice can make.
