Waiting for Speck! (p.1)

As long as Daddy and I can remember, we've always looked forward to becoming parents. We talked about it very early in our relationship. And our first conversation about how we wanted to raise you was one of the very first things we discussed after we got engaged.

We started getting ready for you shortly after our wedding, checking in with the doctor and making sure Mommy was ready to carry you, and thinking about all the wonderful ways you would change our lives.

We tried for months without any results. We started going to a fertility clinic in the summer of 2008, just to make sure everything was fine. We knew you wouldn't come along until the time was right, but it was hard to wait.

And then, just when we'd agreed to stop trying for a month or two until we could begin fertility treatments, the most unexpected thing happened...
