Mamma Mia!
The Movie
Michaela went to her first school dance on Valentines day of 2008. When I picked her up, people were telling me how much fun she had, and how her favorite song had been Dancing Queen by ABBA. From then on, every time the song came on the radio, she would dance and clap.
When I saw that they had made Mamma Mia into a movie I decided I would take her and see how she liked it. She enjoyed it, since it was all music, but when Dancing Queen came on, she almost got out of her seat and started dancing right there. There were three ladies next to us that were about my mom’s age, and they had so much fun watching her, and even commented after the movie was over how great it was seeing her enjoy herself so much.
Since she loved the movie so much even though she only knew one song, we went out and bought her the soundtrack. We listened to it every time we were in the car, and soon it was her favorite thing to listen to. Once she got to know the songs, we went back and saw the movie again, and she loved it even more. Dancing Queen was still her favorite part though.
These pictures are from Christmas 2008, when Mia got her own copy of Mamma Mia for Christmas.
