This was a layout I made for my mother. My brother was just deployed to Iraq and she is having a hard time with it. Plus, she refers to him as her "gi joe" so I made this to cheer her up. In case anyone didn't know the picture with the red flag and blue star in the middle represents any solider you know fighting and wish their safe return.
Use of the Supplies:
15 buttons- around the main photo
5 heart sequins along the picture with my mom and sister (I also used the sandpaper to distress them) Sandpaper- used to distress the 5 sequin and the green cardstock
Tea bag- used to brown, age, the map pieces (see close up pic)
Silver heart charm- used by the journaling tag
Paper clip- Used to attach pic that is 3 picture in one (I used Picasa for that)
Tags- adhered the flag w-blue star to one tag and the another is used for the journaling, also twisted the wire
Embrodiery floss- used a stitching template to sew the title "my" "gi" "joe"
Index card- used to mat the map squares and put along the top and left side to create a border
