These are pics I took one afternoon when Ginger and I were on our way to a crop at our favorite LSS in March of 2008. Our state flower is the bluebonnet, which is a lupine, and they were blooming in all their glory on that sunny Friday afternoon. The drive through the country was so beautiful and we were really enjoying ourselves when we came upon this scene with longhorns in a fenced-in pasture. It was quite a combination for a couple of home-grown Texas girls to view.... bluebonnets, longhorns and barbed wire....all in the same photo! The sun was almost setting, and the light was perfect for these shots. What more could a SASSY TEXAS SCRAPPER ask for than to have beautiful photos to scrapbook?!!!.....For the LO, I attached the lacy paper to the blue cardstock, then cut and inked the large circle. Framed and attached the center pic and the one with the close-up view of the flowers. Then covered, filed and inked the flourishes. Made the bluebonnet embellies using a 1" heart punch. Drew the stems and cut them out. Inked, chalked and attached them to the LO. Added the circular pic of the longhorn and doodled the X's around the two circular frames. painted and doodled the title, "spring" and attached it. On my computer, I created "in TEXAS" inside a text box, then stitched around it. Last, I repeated the stitch design on the large picture's frame using my white pen. TFL, y'all!
