Shawn, I understand you frustration with trying to get the photo of the LO just right. I don't have any of my 12 x 12's on here because of that reason. But, you've inspired me to just upload them the way they photograph. As with mine, I'm sure most all of the LO's posted are appreciated much more in person. But this page is so very beautiful and rich with heritage and culture. I love the colors and and how you used multiple photos. You did a great job!
She is soooo pretty with her curls and all!! I am sure everything is straight IRL...I get that problem too and it really is very frustrating! Beautiful page and congrats to her!!
This is so cute. Love all your detail. If you click on the layout it enlarges and you can see all the stickles on the crown. She is so cute with all her curls.
This is so pretty!! I really like that border on the left, and I especially like your journaling. The font is beautiful, as is the colour of the inking. And Ryan looks so cute and proud, very cute photos!
How awesome!! Such a cool thing to scrap. I Love the "stone"border... your transparency and the way you used the border punch all the way around your mat... Teach me your ways..lol I do good to punch the border in a straight line..lol
Hi, Shawn - I know the pain of trying to take pictures of layouts sometimes. Don't know why some are so easy to photograph and others fight it! This is a lovely layout and she's adorable in her costume!
I love the font! Very Gaelic/Irish looking! It's a wonderful LO! Love the colors and the crown. We love all the Irish things over here too. My oldest has a Claddagh ring, as does my mother (whom is mostly Irish). There is a little store I like to visit. The owner is from Ireland.
Wow...My oh my so beautiful. You did a great job..I love that crown it 's so cute....I love journaling on strips but for some reason they come out crooked when its all said & done...Go figure lol..lol.lol.. Have a good day..Hugss
What a wonderful accomplishment! congratulations!! This is so impoirtant to document and years from now it will be appreciated even more!! Beautiful page!
Love the Claddagh you created, Shawn!!!! ....and the sentence strips....and the new MS border punch....and the gothic stone border that looks metalic (Is it?). Great balance, color and design.....and SO VERY IRISH....AYE! Right into my FAVES, FOR SURE! ....Patty
There is a quote on it that says," To watch her dance is to hear her heart speak."
I took around 15 photos of this LO trying to get the true color to show up...grrrr....so I am posting it as is! It is a lovely shade of dove blue with a grass green border and black accents. The crown of the Claddagh is outlined with Stickles. The photos are straight IRL.
This page depicts my dd first Feis, which is Gaelic for dance competition. (pronounced 'fesh') She placed FIRST in her level for Single Jig and Reel! Woohoo! In the photo on the left she is holding her medals. She did not have a curly wig (many dancers buy them), so the night before, we put her hair in a zillion spongy spike curlers so she could wear a head full of curls like the other dancers.
I used; Martha Stewart punch transparency strip gothic stone border (it is plastic but looks like stone) letter tiles gems Stickles (the crown is covered in it, but it is not showing up!)
