Journaling reads: For Daniel's birthday, on November 15, we visited the Jacksonville Zoo. We always like to see the monkeys. It really is funny to see how they act almost human-like sometimes. The two pictures to the left on this page show the feeding of the alligators. The left one is the zookeeper throwing a whole raw chicken into the water. If you notice in the water below in that picture, you don't see too many alligators in the water. But in the next picture, you can see how quickly so many alligators rush over to try and get the chicken. I love the big picture on the opposite page. The water for the alligators was so filled with bright green algae that all of the alligators had it just sitting on their skin. That alligator over there is huge! Since we were in Jacksonville, I had to get a picture of the jaguar. And I always like to take pictures of the otters. This one was swimming from end to end of his enclosure and then he would flip and do it all over again.
