Great chair, and where you placed it makes a beautiful picture. Too bad leaving it there would ruin the finish, looks like it would be a great place to sit.
YAY! SOMEONE NOTICED MY NOTE :) In all the months I've done this challenge you my friend are the FIRST to comment on that one :) Half the interest and fun and creativity of this "experiment" I started is to do EXACTLY what you've done and my dear... it WORKS! Beautiful chair, wonderful memory, FUN description. YAHHHHOOOO!!!!
This rocking chair was a gift from my mom when I had my first apartment. She found the chair at a junk store (not an "antique store", that would have made it really expensive LOL). The chair looked REALLY bad ...dirty, a bit dry, no cloth or cushioning on the springs, the joints were a little loose... when she gave it to me for my birthday (which is in Nov.). However, she had a good friend who restored furniture and offered to redo the chair for a minimal price, so for Christmas, my mom gave me the chair AGAIN, in it's restored state, for Christmas. LOL I've since recovered the seat with a fabric that works better with my decor now. (So don't blame the poor restorer friend, if you notice the imperfections in the upholstery!)
Now, you're probably wondering why the heck the chair is in the flower bed? Because the POD challenge says ... "Experiment. Try different lighting, try "on location" shoots - even if that means taking an orange outside and taking it's photo on the lawn " Sometimes I actually follow the "rules". ;) I'm pretty sure this set in stone the neighbors' opinions that I'm a bit off my rocker!! Why else would someone carry a rocking chair out of the house, set it in the flower bed a dozen different ways and take a long time taking different pics of the chair?
