I babysat the grand kids last week, so naturally it was picture time, and while I tried, getting candid shots of Gary is near impossible because he sees the camera, comes and stands directly in front of it and grins! He is so all boy with his dirty Tshirt and hands in his pockets stance that I find him just adorable no matter the pose!

This is my my first swirlydoos kit, Urban Grunge. All the gorgeous layouts posted from last months whimsy kit with the gorgeous flowers, girlie colors and elements totally sold me, and then my first kit arrived with nary a flower in sight, but a square of chain link fence! Scuse my French, but my first thought was HS! WTF am I supposed to do with this!!!! I read that this pkg was supposed to challenge me to think outside the box, and I supposed they wanted me to scrap the box instead, so I did. I pulled the top off the cardboard, put some urban grunge pp on top and covered it with the hambly transparency that came in the kit, then used the fence as a mask to paint the pattern on the part of the cardboard that I pulled off and use it as a photo mat, and I'll be darned if I'm not just thrilled with the whole project! Course the Beggahuna sketch that came with the kit helped considerably! Can't wait to get some more pix so I can use the rest, and I even saw a lo where the dang fence was prominently featured as a photo mat and it looked fabulous!
