This shot shows a few of the dozens of waterfalls that come off the mountains. They're frozen right now, but within a month or so, they'll be flowing rapidly, as the snow melts off the mountain tops. The ridges or step-looking part you see on the mountainside are a result of the highway's construction and are done that way to prevent rockslides.
