I love your work on this. The ribbon above the pic looks great. I agree that the journaling needs something to make it pop & like Danielle's suggestions. Your stamping looks great!
Love the stamping that you did to create the patterns on these pages. The bow and metal clip look great, as does the distressing you did to the photo. Fantastic job!
I think this LO is fabulous. My first thought that popped in mind was to enlarge the journaling or highlight it but I'm not sure how. I really think it all looks great as is!
I love the ribbon and the embellishment down the bottom of the page. Your layout is great and colours fantastic... I can feel the cold!!!!!!!!!!!
Cheer up you are doing really well.
THis is so Pretty Resa! I love how you stamped the paper.. so creative. I think you could try doodling' around the corners of the journaling.. that would look cool! Other than that, I think it's awesome! (Love the bow!)
I love this!!!! Too cute! Love the title in three directions! The ribbon on top of the pic is perfect! I agree the journaling needs to pop - could you doodle a square around it - or stitch one??? Just a thought!
I have done embossing with embossing powder and a heat gun. (is that different from "dry embossing"?) I actually thought about doing that but I wasn't sure if I would have enough time to do it before the ink dried. I think the dark blue on the white paper stands out pretty well as is, but I would love to see any LOs where you had dry embossed your journaling, to see how it looks :)
What's there not to like? I have an idea to make your journaling stand out a bit...if you want it. Ever dry embossed? I love the color blue you used. Is that a patterned paper or did you make it yourself? I also like the sanding you did around the photo.
I'm not too happy about this page but I needed to get back into scrapping, so here it is! Let me know what you think.. Thanks for looking :)
The title is made of stickers I got from a friend, probably CM. The background paper is just plain white paper that I stamped. The journaling is printed on my inkjet printer. The photo is actually sanded AND painted. I couldn't trim it any smaller without cutting off any faces so I felt I needed to do something to edge the photo without having room on the page to put a matt around it. The corners of the photo (and block behind it) were done using a CM corner punch. Blue squares stamped with MM daiquiri liquid acrylic paint, snowflakes (unknown foam stamp bought at Michael's) with Royal Blue "Ink It Up" pigment stamp pad.
