The picture on the upper left corner of the left page is the detail on one of the front doors, I should have known that if there is that much decor on the door that the inside would be intense.
Once inside Notre Dame you can't help but feel a little insignificant. Its big, its dark, its full of so much religious iconography that it can be intimidating. After our eyes adjusted to the inside light we noticed that it wasn't so dark, and not so intimidating after all. I was impressed by the artwork of the chancel screen and the choir stalls, and just everything. Of course we didn't see everything, but what we did see was completely amazing!
