Journalling on the left: "The Gallery of Kings / A statue of Mary holding the child Jesus is flanked by two angels. They are posed in front of the West Rose Window which it's center depicts the Virgin and Child."
Journalling on the right page: "28 Kings of Judea/ The statues are figures of Christ's ancestors. During the Revolution they were thought to be statues of the monarchy and the mobs decapitated them. The architect in charge of the restoration after the Revolution had them remastered and put back in place. In 1977, 21 of the 28 heads unearthed during an excavation and they are now housed in the Museé National du Moyen Age."
When we visited the cathedral I knew right away that I wanted to do a layout spreading out the gallery, it didn't work out exactly as smooth as I'd envisioned, but I like it a lot.
