My husband hollered at me this morning just as I was getting in the shower..."put on your robe and grab your camera!" After I did those two things, he took me out on our deck and directed my attention to these three Canadian geese. They were standing sunning themselves on this edge of a ridge alongside of our house. From up there, they also had a view of the creek. They stayed there for about 5 minutes and then turned and strolled away. Our Hope dog, had barked at them and got Doug's attention. We always have a pair of these honkers on our creek each spring and summer but I have never seen 3 of them together or coming this close to the house! I'll be on the lookout for them each morning now!
