Journaling: On June 15, 1987, I was pumped up and ready for my dance recital. My jazz class was performing to Janet Jackson's song, "What Have You Done for Me Lately?" I can't begin to explain how much I loved my costume! The hot pink, off-the-shoulder number had sequins and even a headband, a la Fame and Flashdance. What can I say? I was a child of the '80s!
