This is for the "Oh Happy Day" Challenge. This was me and Clayton's first school dance that we went to and it was Sadie Hawkins. This was taken on November 15, 1997.
Journaling says:
"This was our first school dance as a couple. I asked him to Sadie Hawkins. I bought the sweatshirt and the shirt underneath at Old Navy. My sister is the one who helped me pick them out. Afterwards, I went to Clayton's house to drop off his stuff. So, the next day, Clayton picks me up to go to the dance and he has a rose in his hand. He is so sweet. So, we hop in his car and we go over to Jenny's (friend) house and we watched "The Lost World". Afterwards, me and Jenny fixed dinner and then we ate. After dinner we went to my house to me my jacket and money. We then went to the school at 6:00 pm. and got our pictures taken at 7:00 pm. So between that time, we sat in the car and it was our 1st month anniversary. Clayton gave me a gold band with a small diamond on it. He told me,"Thanks for making me happy for a month" and then he told me that he loved me. We then went inside to get our pictures taken. Then we danced. When the song "The Last Dance" by, Garth Brooks came on, Clayton held me tighter and started to cry. So sweet! We then left around 9:35 pm. and we got some ice-cream. Afterwards, we went over to Jared's (Jenny's Boyfriends) house and watched a movie. We left when the movie was over and Clayton brought me back home. I wish this day never ended. The theme for the dance was "Welcome To The Jungle". I wish I could repeat this memory a thousand times and to hold onto it a little tighter every time. I miss the care free happy timesof not worry about everything and anything. I knew that he would be my husband in the near future and I am glad that I married hime. I would never take that back. I Love You! Forever!
