Journaling Reads: This is a pic of Aslan and I from Easter Sunday, April 12, 2009. We had a wonderful Easter. My mom was here and me, Jean Hervey, and my mom went to Duke Chapel for church at 11:00AM. Then we came back to my apartment for Easter lunch. First, we had appetizers and tea/coffee. Then we had a beautiful Easter lunch of Chicken and Rice, Corn pudding, asparagus, and broccoli. Finally, for dessert we had chocolate chip brownies and ice cream.
Hidden Journaling Reads (On Back): Aslan liked the main course best because he got chicken. I think he missed having dinner at Granny's where he would get turkey or ham scraps all day. But I gave him an Easter bone, so he was not totally deprived! I love this pic of us together on Easter because Easter 2006 was the day after I picked him up from the rescue group. So Easter is an important holiday for us. This was our fourth Easter together: 2006, 2007, 2008, and 2009. I love celebrating Easter with Aslan, but missed being home at Granny's for Easter, though I was glad my mom was here for the weekend.
