Ohh this is precious!!! Are those a real footprint of your baby, wish I had one of mine, love that b/w photo! Thanks to your mom for bringing scrappin'to you, your baby will love the memory you keep for him when he's grown up, that's where I do it for, so my boy knows how much we loved him and all the things we did through the years. Oh and btw, welcome aboard at sb.com !
This is just precious and I particularly LOVE that photo on the top of the flap...it BEGS to be enlarged and scrapped on it's own. Look how bright and shiny those little eyes are and the little baby looks so happy and content and all tucked up! Just gorgeous!
I like that you have other photos stashed on the layout. It is sometime so hard to choose. Love the papers and the colors. Your work certainly doesn't look like a beginner!
I love this LO, I love the picture of his little foot and the pictures of the feet stamps!!! That is just a perfect idea...will have to keep this one in mind when I do my DS' birth pictures!! Beautiful job!
Well, you're doing a great job - looks much better than my first attempts - LOL!!! Love all the sweet little pics - and the flap is a great idea - such a sweet layout - love that you included the footprints!
Most people start scrapping because of a new baby. I'm not a mom, but I started w/my niece. I didn't do a lot of journaling at first, so you are ahead of the game. Just do you...and your layouts will turn out fine. PS...you will thank your Mom later.
Great job incorporating the footprints in your layout. The pics are so sweet! You don't have to worry about techniques, you just made a keepsake that will be treasured for years to come...that is what scrapbooking is all about!
Beautiful! Don't you worry about not knowing the "techniques" a lot of people use with scrapbooking. You are doing wonderful work! And, the flap idea is really neat, but I'd be scared I'd forget there was something behind it. :) Absolutely wonderful job with this layout... the colors, the design, etc.
Beautiful job! Almost makes me want to cry. It is soooo sweet. You did a wonderful job on everything. I don't think you are going to have any problem getting this craft down. I am fairly new myself, but this site will help you so much learn the stuff you want to know.
Oh this is so gorgeous! Its such a sweet baby lo and as I'm just about to create one for a friend, this is so helpful! Love the little footprints, and the wonderful photos of you and your baby boy. Looks like you are well into the obsession the rest of us are loving - great job!
I am new new new to scrapbooking. My mother forced me into it a few months ago because she was horrified that I had a 2-year-old and all his photos were on my computer. With a new baby arriving, she lit a fire under me and bought me - unsolicited - some scrapbooking stuff for Christmas. I don't know any of the fancy techniques all of you use, but I love looking at the gallery and admiring your work and learning from you in the forum. Thanks to all of you for posting your work and allowing newcomers to the hobby to feel so welcome here.
The flap on the left side of the page opens to reveal more hospital photos and journaling. Thanks to all who answered my questions about how to make a flap.
The hanging item on the front of the flap is from the announcement cards I sent out. I tucked an actual announcement card underneath. I made lots of room on this layout!
