I am enjoying all your San Diego vacations pics, we went there in 2007 and evidently visited all the same places you did. I even have some of the same pics, like the sailor in my scrapbook. How cool!!
One of my favorite WW2 photos. It is nice to see layouts about the places we visit, this is so cool. I love the detail photo of the flowers. I think your journaling idea on the postcard is brilliant, I hope you do it.
Thanks for sharing these layouts, of your trip to California. i feel I have seen my home state in a whole new perspective and interest level.
I remember watching something about that kiss...They didn't know eachother, he just grabbed her a planted one on her!! This is a really gorgeous page!!
Unconditional Surrender is the name of this statue in Mole Park San Diego. It is a 25 foot 6,000 lb interpretation of a photo taken by Alfred Eisenstaedt of a Sailor kissing a nurse in Times Square, New York City on Aug. 14, 1945, following the announcement of V-J Day.
While we were visiting SD, they were doing some work on the statue so it was taped off.
The flowers were growing along the path near the statue and were so pretty and fragrant.
I think I'm going to journal info about the statue on the post card in the upper right corner.
The background really is one color - it just didn't scan well due to the depth of the flower.
