Love Challenge - First off, you rocked the Sunshine & Rainbows Sunshine & then some!...Secondly, being able to incorporate so many fun Challenges into 1 single LO always truly amazes me Lisa!...You're awesome & I truly love your style! ;)
I love the message in a bottle details. Darling idea! And I also LOVE the straight edges and right angles everywhere, with the journalling on a perfect wave. Delightful contrast!!
Well, first - AWESOME, Awesome job with this!! Great take on the sketch. I really like that you did the shell, starfish and such instead of pics on the side. Second - Super job on the Scrap the Beach...except, I put palm trees on my layout, which btw is the same sketch and for the Scrap the beach - same week, isn't that funny?! Back to what I was going to harrass you about..I put palms on my pages and they aren't the tropics!! LOL....
Great job incorporating all of those challenges and meeting their criteria! That right there makes you a super duper awesome scrapper! Not to mention the payout is great and i LOVE the way you put the journaling in the wave pattern! Awesome!!
These photos are from our trip to Virginia in '06. These two were in Kindergarten together with just 2 other boys so the four of them were very close, with each other and the teacher. It was a phenomenal experience. After 1st grade, this family was transferred by the Navy so this was our first visit since they left 2 years prior.
Journaling: We haven't seen the Cook kids since July '04. John had just been born then, and now he's big brother to 2 month old Claire. We stopped by when we arrived in Norfolk on the 24th & made plans to spend Sunday the 27th at the beach & then cook out at their house. Cassie & Joe hit it off again right away -- those bonds from K & 1st gr. were strong! Emily decided against First Landing on the Chesapeake side of Va. Beach due to jelly fish, so Dan got us on the guest list for Fort Story Military Res. on the Atlantic. It was a gorgeous uncrowded beach where we could see dolphins right off shore. The only bad moment came when I lost my Burberry sunglasses in the surf!
This one is for several challenges: 1. Sunshine & Rainbows -- LO #6 of 7. There are 2 suns and the word 'sun,' and for the twist, there are birds on the blue tag.
2. Weekly Old Pagemaps #3 -- Week 2.
3. Scrap the Beach -- Week 2. I included journaling, but I didn't do the twist to put a palm tree in the LO -- that only works for a tropical destination!
4. ABC -- [ABC]. A - there must be an arrow: mine is the brown arrow photo turn pointing to the kids. B - there must be at least 3 buttons: I used 4 buttons on the tags. C - LO must be entered in 2 other challenges.
It's hard to tell from the pic, but for the 'message in the bottle,' I cut the sand pp a little to slip the bottle behind to make it look more like it is in the sand. I also popped all the tags up on foam dots for more dimension.
