nice shot, we have starlings that build under the lid of the propane tank every year, they are terrible parents, don't think they successfully raise a family there, but they keep trying.

POD...4-28-09...Brewer's Blackbird

4-28-09....I finally caught a bird gathering the nesting material. This Brewer's Blackbird is building her nest in one of the fir trees in the front yard. She picked up a bunch of yarn, then she looked for twigs & brought them back. She is definitely in nesting mode. I took a few shots of her branch selection & you can see the yarn & feathers from the underside. I'm not fond of these birds but I can't bother her either. [7445]
