WTG!!! This is a LOT of handwork...and it definitely paid off! Beautifully done!! (I tied a net like that one time with pearl cotton thread...took FOREVER...so I totally appreciate this!!)
BRAVO, Melinda!! I can't believe the work you put into this -- it's amazing! That net is fab -- and you cracked me up with your comments! You did a great job w/ the stamping too - very pretty! Love the tiny starfish and the handmade shells complete w/ pearls! HMM -- I guess I should have just said 'Love it all!'
My older daughter collecting shells on one of our beach vacations. This is for week 3 of the Scrap the Beach challenge, with the twist (make your own embellishment), the lo must contain stamping, which I'm not too experienced with. Plain black ink wasn't going to work with what I wanted to do, so I used several colors of acrylic paint on my stamp to simulate waves at the bottom of the page. The net is handmade from DMC floss and let me tell you, tying all those little knots by hand is time consuming (5 hours!). I am pretty sure fishing net making is not in my future as far as a career! I drew the shells freehand and cut them and added the pearls. The tiny starfish are real starfish that I bought at the shell store when we were on vacation there. TFL.
