A layout showing some of the spectacular features of the Paris Opera house.

Journalling: "Named after its designer Charles Garnier.
Construction on the grand theater began in 1862, it opened in 1875.
Made from a mixture of materials: stone, marble, and bronze ~ in styles from classical to Baroque.
The facade is adorned with marble and sculptures all around the building.
The elaborate ceiling was painted by Marc Chagall in 1964.
Underneath the building is a small lake which provided inspiration for Leroux's mysterious character's hiding place in 'Phantom of the Opera'."

Each of the photos of the sculptures I cut out a silhoutte of the figure from another photo and popped them up to give some depth to the page.
The border was made from Cricut Storybook cartridge then backed with the same vellum that I used for the journalling blocks.
