I just adore this LO. I've totally scraplifted it and will give you full credit when I add this to my gallery. Mine did not turn out nearly as cute as yours.... thanks for the inspiration.
This is so cute!! I love the soft colors. I got a laugh when I read that you bought all the kid papers. I did the same thing!! I'm slowly using them, but you're right you never see them on here.
Awesome! I love the way you cut out the bathtub, and have the flowers as the faucet and hearts as the water... very creative. And I'm impressed you created all that by hand!
This is such a fun and creative design!! Love, love it! I love the flowers in the corner and that wonderful tub! The 'shower' is darling and I love the title work! Great job!
This is darling! I love the hearts in the shower- what a delightful way to express the theme you created with the title. I also love the title work- wrapping it around the precious tub is adorable. Lovely work!!
This is awesome considering you think you're a newbie! I can't believe you hand drew everything! That is impressive! I'd never have the guts to try that!
I just realized that I have commented on this before, but I love it! The way you did the title is fabulous and I love that sweet picture! Beautifully adorable lo!
I LOVE this LO - you did a FANTASTIC job!!! Especially for someone who's only been doing this for a few months!!! I think this is soooo creative - I just love your hand drawn bathtub spraying the hearts out onto him (showering him with love)!!! And he's just precious!!! I'm adding this to my faves!
Fabulous design!!! I would have never thought to do something like this!!! I LOVE the bathtub/shower!!! For you to have been scrapbooking for a few months, you are off to a great start. This is going into my favs for future inspiration.
Such a cute page.
I like how you've used pink on a boy page and how you used the hearts to "cover" him up, I've done that on bath pictures with little leaves :)
What a cute LO. I have a pic like that of my son (full frontal) and if you don't mind, I'd like to steal your idea of the "heart petals" covering him. LOL
This is so absolutely wonderful. You mustn't change a thing! The hearts for showering with love are so sweet. The felt flowers are great. The photo is adorable. (I made myself do a very pink page for my son recently and it was fine!). Who cares what we think! Its how you like it that matters, and your style will evolve quite happily. You're a super scrapper!
I love this page! I went to your bio to see if you were a Mom or Grandmom...then came back to the gallery and VOILA!...here's my answer! You did a great job on this! Pat
OOOO I Love how you created the little bathtub and the shower! this is fantastic for someone who has only been scrapbooking for a few months! i love all the flowers and the sprinkling of hearts!
I've just been scrapbooking for a few months. When I first started, I went to the store and picked out a bunch of kiddie-themed patterned paper. Then I found this site, went through the gallery, and, hmmm, no kiddie paper anywhere!
Well, all is not lost since the little bath paper I bought inspired this design. I punched out a circle of the bath patterned paper here (the circle that says "1st bath") and used that image of an old-fashioned claw tub with an overhead shower as my template for this. I drew and re-drew a template. It took a few tries to get the right scale.
I had a hard time achieving balance on this page, so I added the three felt flowers on the left. Not sure if it helps... I put them down with removeable tape, so I can take them off or adjust them if you think that would look better. I had initially used the green ribbon vertically (to create stems) for the felt flowers, but I thought the page was too busy when I did that.
I don't have a die cut machine, so I hand-drew and cut all the elements here except the fluttering hearts.
The hearts coming down from the shower head were primarily driven by my desire to give my son a little modesty. But they also worked well with the theme of being showered with love.
I have 2 boys, so I rarely have an opportunity to use any pink. I hope my little one won't hate me for all the pink used here. It just seemed to fit. To me, it lent a softness and babyness to the page. He's only 6 weeks old, so it will be awhile before he can protest. :-) This was his first bath. He was 16 days old.
I usually type - and hide - my journaling, but I am always impressed when scrappers include their own handwriting. It seemed particularly appropriate here with this title. I hope you can read it!
I really want to learn and improve, so please feel free to make suggestions to this page (and anything else in my gallery).
