If you're not familar with the FLY lady organization philosophy, then this title is probably a puzzle to you. The FLY lady's first rule of organization is to shine your sink. That is, not only empty it of dishes, but to wipe it so it shines. Then, because your sink looks so clean, you want to clear off the kitchen countertops too. Then that looks so nice that you want to wipe off the stove and sweep the floor. The next thing you know, you're cleaning the den. I told my Mom about this shiny sink thing. She and I are very competitive and now we email each other almost daily to brag, "I've got a shiny sink!"
And when you have a shiny sink, you can plop your happy baby right in the middle of it, as I did here. This is my son, now 2, when he was 7 months old.
I think the journaling is hard to read here. The top block more or less says what I wrote above. The bottom block reads: A shiny sink is nice, sure. But a shiny sink with a happy baby, now that's a real treat.
