My ds Hayden who is in 7th grade decided to do, of all things, stand-up comedy for a community talent show. When he told me he planned to try out, being the supportive mother that I am, I said isn't there ANYthing else you might want to do??? He said nope, I really want to do a comedy routine. YIKES!! Needless to say I was a nervous wreck leading up to it and the day of I was miserable. My hands were sweaty, my stomach hurt and was wondering why "the Big One" couldn't hit right about now!! (Big One referring to the big earthquake we here in CA are always preparing for).
Well, he pulled it off and he did a great job! There were a total of 23 acts and he took 5th place. He took the stage like he'd been doing it for years, no nerves, nothing. You could have knocked me over with a feather!!
