Did you ever have one of those days where everything was just perfect? Well, this day Friday May 15th, was one such day for me!
After a fun ride taking my girls to school, I went to my sister's for a visit. We had a great time. Later in the afternoon, I attended V.I.P. Day with my nephew at what used to be my old grade school! Boy, has it changed! Back when I went there in the third grade, a picture I drew won a contest and was painted as a mural on the outside wall of the school. It has long since been built on with a few additions since then. It was about 30 years ago! I asked around to see if anyone knew of my painting. The staff that is currently there knew nothing of it until I asked a girl that worked in the office. She said, not only did she know of it, but had a picture of it! And to top it all of, one former teacher at the school loved the picture so much that upon retiring , the staff had the picture put on a blanket for her!
I have been trying to get a picture of that mural for some time now and was almost in tears when she said she would be glad to get me a copy!
After returning home, my DH and I attended a dinner and awards ceremony for an organization he is part of. He had finished the course and graduated!
What a great day it was Today!
